"Well, actually...." Barda's red bikini and hip pads outfit is her idea of casual wear. When she's fighting, she wears an outfit that covers everything except her face and hair.

Oh so your'e the one who drew this! I saw this comic on the a long time ago, & wondered where it was from. You know, I didn't mind Wonder woman's costume here. Yeah okay the Jackets a bit silly, but I mind wonder woman wearing pants. I mean, heck, not only Amazons actually wear pants, but I personally find it more attractive. Besides, I don't know why people complain skimpy outfits for some female characters, but when it comes to Wonder Woman wearing pants they act like its the end of the world.

because its fucking wonderwoman she's indestructible and a symbol of powerful feminine with out having to wear masculine clothes to seem strong. its a whole play on the binary. Since people feel inclined to slap pants or a jumpsuit on a character that never once was anything more than a feminine symbol of power, It goes down to it, pants are a masculine invention and thus are perceived as masculine so by covering them up and putting them on par with male heroes you are saying that the only way to perceive a female character as strong is to butch her up or put on pants. thus saying that masculine traits are far more valuable than feminine ones. BTW amazons are from the ancient world, where no one wore pants so why should she know. Last i check she's nigh invincible.

I absolutely LOVE this! All of your art of them, it's so amazing! But I'd have to say my favorite part of this one is the O RLY look on Barda's face.

...You know, I say that, and then I remember Scott's face and body language, and Wondy's, and oh god there is so much to love.

Thank you!!

Honestly, I hate the new threads. Who wears a jean jacket with stars after the 90's? Bandit Keith, that's who.

Just sayin'.

however its the designers fault for succumbing to the flawed mentality that by putting pants on wonderwoman you are making her more of a powerful female icon. Her costume was that a costume just like how superman wears a skin tight cat suit, but like him she's next to indestructible and comes from a society that wore little to not cloth in forms of chitons if that. Its basically saying we gotta butch her up to make her more believable. you know what would be believable wonderwoman fighting in a pair of leggings and a tank top with her hair in a pony tail not stealing superboys nineties costume and paring it still with a strapless bathingsuit with pants on top.

Ahh the wonder of hypocrisy. You tell any normal woman to go fight in a bra and panties and you're a sexist pig... Take a comic book woman out of a similar get-up and put her in normal clothes to fight and you're a sexist pig. Face it men, you can't win for losing!Heaven forbid any female warrior actually look sexy and strong with clothes on after all. And let's admit, jeans and a shirt are a helluva lot easier to fight in. A strapless bustier? She'd fall right out!

I like it except for the jacket. The jacket is tacky, ugly, and two decades too late. I get that the artist said she would close it to be more discrete, remove it altogether, or use the pockets for item storage... But it's still awful. I'd rather see it sleek, no shoulder pads and a bit longer... And a different color. Lets face it, it looks like a bluejeans jacket, and no one wears those anymore.

I mean I appreciate the effort into giving her a more practical costume, but practical =/= good design as you have so aptly pointed out with your criticism of the tacky 90s jacket

Yeah, but there is some art without the jacket and it looks so much better. ^^ I think he added the jacket just for the blue and stars, but it just looks really bad. Find somewhere else to put the stars.... Even a cape would look better than that jacket.

Also adding knee high boots to break up the one color legging, possibly in the patriotic blue.

Although I am one who will miss the legs, I really don't really mind the new look. It never made sense to me why a woman from the Amazons wore an American Flag as her battle outfit. This outfit feels a bit more universal and if DC wants to make a franchise out of her (like Batman) some changes needed to be made. With all that said, I must add I dislike how they changed the bit of her history so that she wasn't raised on the Amazon Island. I mean, that's where her womanly pride comes from right? :p

I actually like her new costume. I can see why people don't like the change. But the usually feminist character running around in a one peice bathing suit just doesn't seem to fit XD

I agree completely that the bathing suit is an odd choice of fighting wear, and I'm all for a costume change! But as my friend put it so aptly, this new costume looks more like college student's than a superhero's. :\
